A large-scale gastrofest will start on July 15 and will be held in several formats at once. It will begin with the best chefs of the restaurants "Rosa Khutor" and Sochi showing their skills in special set menus of their establishments. A unique offer of several dishes at a fixed price will help to reveal the taste of southern cuisine.

"According to the World Tourism Organization, more than 50 percent of travelers choose gastronomically interesting destinations for recreation. Last year, the gastronomic festival at the Rosa Khutor resort was attended by almost 30 thousand guests. This season we also expect a high level of interest in its events. Moreover, the main theme of the gastrofest will be "Southern Cuisine" in the broadest sense. We did not limit ourselves to our region. Therefore, different options of southern gastronomy will be presented: from the Caucasus to Latin America. In the partner restaurants of the festival, they will also prepare Italian dishes, and in the Peruvian cuisine cafe they will offer specialties of this southern country. What could be better than coming to the mountains for a vacation, taking a couple of hiking trails, breathing fresh air, and then enjoying delicious food?" - says Valentin Shin, brand chef of the restaurants of the Rosa Khutor mountain resort.

The participants of the gastrofest will be 20 restaurants of the Rosa Khutor resort and Sochi: Kaf Kas, Boomerang,Bierkeller, Black Bar & Grill, "Dich", "Barabulya", "Vysota 2320", MODUS, "Ilios greek taverna", "Shale","Pro.Khinkali", "Grusha", "Rukola", "Berloga", "Varezhka", Boogel Woogel Bar, Bistrot italiano, Co-Co Chalet, Giorgio Suluguni, cafe of the mountain club Sport-Marathon and the Alpaca Park "Pacha Mama". Guests will be waiting for the author's interpretation of gastronomic classics and unexpected combinations of products. For example, Black Sea rapans will be prepared with tomatoes and Parmesan foam, trout tartare with mountain herb aioli and Greek yogurt, cold Malاديم soup with cucumber and mint, duck with melon and pecan nut, and stewed beef brisket with broccoli and apple puree. In the restaurants you can try traditional Abkhazian achash pie, Peruvian red tortilla with marbled beef and beans, ice cream croissant and much more. The gastronomic dinners from the chefs will become the decoration of the festival.

"As usual, our gastrofest will be completed by a special gastronomic fair. It will be open from August 1 to 4 in the Mountain Olympic Village at an altitude of over 1000 meters above sea level. During the fair, a special gastro pass will be valid at Rosa Khutor, including a lift pass, a visit to the My Russia ethno park and the opportunity to try a set menu in partner restaurants," - notes Valentin Shin.

In addition to gastronomic delights, guests of the fair will find live performances of musical groups and DJ sets, raffles from partners, free master classes from chefs, and a bright photo zone. You can get acquainted with the schedule of events of the gastrofest at Rosa Khutor on the website https://go.rosakhutor.com/gastrofest.
