Compared to the same period last year, the growth of tourist flow has increased by nearly seven percent. Currently, there are over 189,000 tourists in the city at the same time. The average occupancy rate of accommodations in Sochi is 88 percent, while in the mountain cluster, it is filled to 79 percent. In July, the city welcomed its 4 millionth guest since the beginning of the year.

- Half of the summer is already behind us, but the peak season for tourist flow traditionally falls at the end of July and the beginning of August. Our main efforts are focused on ensuring a safe and comfortable rest for both guests and residents of Sochi. All issues regarding the resort's operations, including those received through social networks, are directed to the city operational headquarters and addressed by the relevant services and authorities. There are 189 beaches open in Sochi, which are regularly monitored for the cleanliness of the sea water and compliance with all regulatory requirements, including service levels, said Oleg Burlev, the Deputy Head of Sochi.

Since the beginning of the year, specialists from the territorial office of Rospotrebnadzor have conducted three thousand tests of tap water, with no exceedances recorded. The sanitary and epidemiological situation in children’s sanatoriums and overnight camps is also being monitored; currently, there are 10 such organizations operating in Sochi.
