The Center for State Expertise in Construction of the Ryazan Region has issued a positive conclusion on the project for the restoration of the House-Museum of Sergei Yesenin in the village of Konstantinovo. This was reported by the Main State Expertise of Russia on its website.
"In the small village of Konstantinovo near Ryazan, the restoration and adaptation for modern use of a cultural heritage site is planned - the estate where the poet Sergei Yesenin was born and lived in 1895. The one-story wooden building is currently a memorial museum of Yesenin, which was opened in 1965," the message says.
The project involves the dismantling of partitions and ceilings, the removal of finishing layers of the basement, the construction of porches and cleaning of the roof. At the next stage, it is planned to restore and treat internal structures,repair engineering networks and communications, carry out work on facades, including painting the roof, treating wood,windows and the basement, the department noted.
The house is part of the State Museum-Reserve of S.A. Yesenin, which was created in 1984. Today, the museum-reserve is one of the largest museum complexes in the country, and about 450 thousand people visit it annually.
The restoration of the Yesenin estate is a significant event for the cultural life of Russia. It will allow you to preserve the historical heritage and create new conditions for museum visitors.
