Representatives of seven large Russian companies and organizations working in the tourism industry have begun a business mission to Kunashir Island. The event is being held from 3 to 5 July. This was reported by the website of the governor and government of the Sakhalin Region.

“During the trip, investors will get acquainted with eight investment sites, where they will be presented with opportunities to implement projects for the construction of hotel and entertainment complexes, glamping complexes,” the message says.

Entrepreneurs will be told about the conditions for doing business in the Kurils - a favorable preferential regime that exempts investors from the main taxes for 20 years, as well as about the possibilities of obtaining land and infrastructure support for the project on the territory of the Kurils advanced development zone.

“Already today we can see how large business projects are being implemented here, at the same time we see huge potential and prospects for future development. Today we discussed the construction of modern hotel complexes, recreation zones, fish processing and other industries on the islands. This is important not only for increasing the tourist attractiveness of the Kurils, but also from the point of view of creating new jobs for the residents of our entire region,” the words of the Sakhalin governor Valery Limarenko are quoted on the website.
