The press service of the Tambov Region government has announced that the gastronomic festival "Vishnevorovo" will be held in Uvarovo from July 12 to 13. The culmination of the event will be a grand folk carnival, when hundreds of participants in "cherry" costumes will walk along the main street of the city. A separate parade will be organized for pets.The jury will choose the "most-most Cherry Dog" and the "most-most Cherry Cat".
The "Vishnevorovo" festival is one of the brightest events in the region and is well-known far beyond its borders. This year it will unite festivals from other regions of Russia and Belarus in Uvarovo. Thus, the Belarusian city of Glubokoe will present its International Cherry Festival, Nizhny Novgorod - "Cherry Blizzard", and Balakovo in the Saratov Region - the Strawberry Festival.
This year, guests of the gastronomic holiday will be offered unusual contests, creative marathons, sports competitions,exciting quests and a variety of treats. Festival grounds will be equipped in the Cherry Square zone and on a new landscaped area near the pond, where a rock festival will take place. The "Cherry Races" on SUP boards will also be held there. Stylized trading pavilions, craft rows, a fair in support of local producers "Choose Your Own" will work all days of the festival.
In addition, a master class will be held with the participation of large families from each city of the Tambov Region. They will present themselves, their municipalities and a cherry dish that they will bring to the festival. And then, under the guidance of the chef and with the participation of delegations of berry festivals, the families will cook a secret cherry dish.
