The official portal "Wild Nature of Russia" reported that another meeting of the mixed Russian-Belarusian commission on the implementation of the agreement on the creation of the transboundary PA "Zapovednoe Poozerie" took place. The meeting discussed the plan of joint events of the two countries for 2024-2025.

Today, the "Zapovednoe Poozerie" includes the Russian national park "Sebezhsky", the republican landscape reserve "Krasny Bor" (Republic of Belarus) and the republican landscape reserve "Osveisky" (Republic of Belarus).

In the near future, Russia and Belarus plan to develop a historical and patriotic tourist route "Nature of Memory - Memory of Nature", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It will include about 15 points, where events of the war and the post-war period will be presented, as well as an interactive center for training partisans with the possibility of year-round living.

This initiative should strengthen the scientific research, environmental education and tourist and recreational activities of Russian and Belarusian specially protected natural areas.
