The press service of the governor and the government of the Sakhalin Region has announced that the Okhota recreation area in the Korsakovsky District has been included in the list of the best certified beaches in Russia. The beach has passed “Blue Flag” certification and has confirmed its compliance with high federal standards.

The Okhota recreation area has all the infrastructure that a “Blue Flag” beach should have. It is equipped with first-aid posts, lifeguard towers, information stands, urns, changing rooms, showers and toilet cabins. All infrastructure is safe for visitors and accessible to people with disabilities.

So far, the Okhota beach is only preparing for its official opening. There will be a swimming pool, a sports and children's play area. Shopping facilities will also appear on the coast, offering guests ice cream, soft drinks and hot food.

“The improvement of the recreation area in Okhotnoye does not stop there. Within the framework of the national project "Tourism and hospitality industry" with the involvement of business, including grant funds, it is planned to build a hotel complex with a sea view, a restaurant, cozy cafes in a modern style with elements of ecological design and an open terrace, an amphitheater on the embankment. This will make it possible to create an all-season tourist complex on the coast for people of all ages, ”the message says.
