Demand for trips to Vietnam has grown several times this summer among tour operators, the Russian Union of the Tourism Industry (RUT) reported.
"According to the statistics of the Hot Tours agency network, the traditionally winter destination ranks tenth among the most popular summer holiday destinations," the RUT website says. "This is due to the expansion of both direct and transit flights, as well as relatively affordable hotel prices in Vietnamese resorts."
The Fun&Sun tour operator saw a sevenfold increase in tourist flow to Vietnam compared to last summer - travelers began to book more often not only tour packages, but also accommodation in hotels separately. The most popular resorts are Nha Trang, Mui Ne, and Phan Thiet, the RUT noted.
Vietnam is also among the top 10 countries in terms of sales for the tour operator, taking the last place.
For example, the cost of a July tour to Nha Trang for 12 nights in a three-star hotel starts from 116 thousand rubles per person, including the flight. A 13-night tour in August with accommodation in a four-star hotel will cost from 122 thousand.
"On average, tourists fly for 9 nights, but there is also a growing interest in longer tours of up to 14 nights. The average booking depth has grown to two months compared to one last year," the statement says.
According to the RUT, ITM group tour operator Vietnam is also being booked much more actively compared to last year - now sales are three times higher than for the whole of 2023.
"We have a block program, we make group excursion tours on it. We offer, first of all, the Danang resort, where beach отдых is perfectly combined with excursions, so combined tours are very popular with us in the summer season. Nha Trang is also very popular with Russians, as it is perfectly combined with excursion routes. This year, among Asian beach destinations, Vietnam is confidently in the top 5 regardless of the season," the RUT quotes the head of the product development department Irina Yurina.
Meanwhile, according to the Deputy Director of Marketing and Work with Agencies of Vand travel company Svetlana Krechkina, the number of requests and completed trips to Vietnam this year increased by 15% compared to last year, the RUT reported. Most often, tourists choose the resorts of Nha Trang and Da Nang, mainly combining beach отдых with excursions.
"The cost of a tour for 9 nights starts from 108 thousand rubles per person, the ticket is paid separately. Tourists fly to the country by Aeroflot, Emirates, Chinese airlines," the expert said, whose words are quoted in the message.
The RUT recalled that in January Aeroflot resumed direct flights to Vietnam. However, the cheapest flight options are currently offered by Chinese carriers. In July, the price of a ticket with a connection starts from 48 thousand rubles, the Union of the Tourism Industry reported.
