The official website of the head and government of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic has announced that the historical festival "Caucasian Frontier" will be held on the territory of the Krasnogorsk Tower at the end of August. The inner courtyard of the 19th-century monument will turn into an ethno-village, where guests will make a real journey back in time.

An immersive performance will be held in the ethno-village, the heroes of which will tell the story of the inhabitants of the tower and their neighbors. In addition, in the courtyard of the tower, you can learn about the life and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the KCR. Masters of traditional crafts will demonstrate their exquisite products, and historical reenactors will tell about the painstaking work of restoring weapons, clothing and equipment.

Other festival grounds will be organized in the vicinity of the tower. Those who wish can try their hand at archery, belt wrestling, tug-of-war and rope, vine cutting and even try to storm the slope under the fortress. After active entertainment, guests will be treated to national dishes, including lamb baked according to a traditional recipe.

In addition, the organizers of the event have prepared a special historical route, within which it will be possible to take a quest dedicated to the history and culture of the peoples of the KCR. The program will be complemented by an open-air film screening, concerts, photo exhibitions and even shooting of short films in historical costumes.
