Due to the warm weather in the mountains of the Olympic capital, the resort decided to postpone the launch of the winter season.
«We announced the start of the season on December 17, but now it is already clear that we will open skiing slopes a little later - as soon as the weather conditions permit, presumably on December 25. Artificial snow has already been prepared, and this is a good basis for the ski slopes.
It is expected that at the start of the season the slopes on the South Slope and slopes to the Rosa Stadium - on the North Slope, right up to the Mountain Olympic Village, will be open. In general, this winter season, Rosa Khutor will have access to the largest ski area in Russia - 105 kilometers of pistes. Two new tracks will be opened: "Calendula" and "Blueberry". In addition, the resort has launched two new belt-type lifts. One of them, "Veles", is located on the Southern slope at an altitude of 1950 meters above sea level. Another lift - "Pegasus" - at the Finish Zone (here for the first time a training slope was organized, designed for classes with children). Thus, the total number of lifts will reach 32.
The resort is always open for mountain walks. Now guests can climb three gondola lifts to Rosa Peak, an impressive observation deck at an altitude of 2320 meters, where popular attractions such as high-altitude swings and suspension bridges also operate. In Rosa Dolina and in the Mountain Olympic Village, guests have access to such entertainment as: rodelbahn, outdoor pools and spa complexes. The Ice Skating Rink, Husky Farm, Shishin Dvor, Museum of Archeology, Ethnopark "My Russia" and other attractions of the resort are open to the public.
To climb Rosa Peak, guests need a walking ticket "The Way to the Tops + My Russia", which can now be bought at the resort's ticket offices or in the online store.
