A mass ascent of the Romantics Glacier will take place on August 3 in Yamal, said Olga Filipenkova, managing director of the Center for Tourism Development in the Polar Urals.

"Climbing the ancient glacier is a popular tourist route. Tourists will travel five kilometers to see the picturesque ancient glacier, which is located on the southern slope of the Rai-Iz mountain range near the Yenga-Yu River," Filipenkova wrote in her telegram channel.

It is expected that more than 200 people will take part in the ascent, who will be invited to ride boots and take pictures on an ice floe. To ensure the safety of tourists, they will be accompanied by experienced guides. Climbing does not require special training, so anyone over the age of 18 who does not have medical contraindications can take part.

Children from the age of 14 are also allowed, accompanied by legal representatives.
