During the day on July 5 Sochi might have: in some places heavy rains, showers with thunderstorms, hail, wind intensification of 20-22 m / s. On the rivers sharp rises in water levels are possible. In the mountainous zone, the risk of low volume mudflows is increasing. On the Magri - Veseloye section, there is a danger of tornadoes forming over the sea. 34 trees were blown down by the wind.

In the Adler region, one person died when a tree fell, two were injured. One of the victims was taken to hospital with injuries, the second refused hospitalization. Squall winds, thunderstorms and downpours have caused local power failures. They affected the settlements: Loo, Kudepsta, Nizhnyaya Shilovka, Khleborob, Krasnaya Volya, Verkhnenikolaevskoye and Ermolovka.

To control the situation, a city operational headquarters was created, city services were put on high alert. More than 50 people and over 30 pieces of equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of bad weather in four city districts of the resort.

Rescuers recommend that residents and guests of Sochi observe all necessary precautions, temporarily abstain from swimming, and not leave cars under trees, billboards and other structures. In case of incidents, call 112.
