Tyumen Region and Tatarstan have jointly developed a new educational tourist route. This route connects Tobolsk, the birthplace of Dmitri Mendeleev, and Mendeleevsk in Tatarstan, where the great scientist implemented his scientific ideas. The route encompasses 18 diverse programs, including museum exhibitions, theatrical performances, and conceptual festivals.

Maria Trofimova, Director of the Department of Consumer Market and Tourism of the Tyumen Region, announced this development. A direct flight between the Remezov Airport in Tobolsk and the Begishevo Airport in Tatarstan makes this journey convenient and comfortable.

In Tobolsk, tourists can learn about the Mendeleev family, the factors that inspired young Dmitri to pursue science, and his connections to the famous storyteller Ershov and the Decembrists who were exiled to Siberia.
