The festival aims to introduce the public to films that have topped the box office in their respective countries. Among the participants are leading industry figures from Russia, India, China, Iran, South Africa, and other nations. The festival jury is chaired by film critic and historian Marco Muller. The main program and special nominations include 25 films.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organizers, and guests of the forum. "This new and interesting project is a major, impressive event in the cultural life of Sochi and our entire vast country," the head of state noted.
Sochi residents and tourists will be able to see the competition films and the "Festival Hits" program for free at a cinema in Krasnaya Polyana. Masterclasses by actors and directors, retrospectives of domestic and foreign films, and concerts are also planned. The "KinoBravo" festival in Sochi will last until October 4.
