Sochi Granted Federal Resort Status

Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin has announced that the city has been granted federal resort status. "The government approved a list of federal resorts in July. The order came into force in September," the mayor said.

The new status will guarantee the quality of services and provide tourists with a choice of verified and recommended vacation destinations. Investors will also be eligible for government support. In total, 55 resorts were included in the list,including Anapa and Gelendzhik.
