The Kodar National Park in the Zabaikalsky Krai, together with the Union of Wildlife Photographers, has organized a tour for renowned Russian and international photo artists. This event is the first of its kind since the establishment of this specially protected natural area in 2018, according to the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.
"Over two weeks, photographers will map out photo tour routes through the national park, capture autumn landscapes, as well as animals and birds in the protected area," the ministry's website reports.
Following the trip, the union will prepare recommendations for photographers and travelers on conducting photography in the national park. The photos taken in Kodar will be included in the first photo album of the national park and presented at a separate exhibition.
The expedition is attended by members of the Union of Wildlife Photographers Svetlana Ivanenko, Viktor Konev, Dmitry Ivanov, and Yegor Vlasov.
The project is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources for the development of the Kodar National Park and the Udokan Copper Company.
"We hope that this project will mark the beginning of a long-term friendship, provide an opportunity to showcase all the richness and beauty of northern Zabaikalie, and contribute to the scientific and conservation activities of the national park," said Alexander Myaskov, head of the Union of Wildlife Photographers.
