The sixth eco-trail in St. Petersburg, "Bugainaya Trail," has opened in the "Northern Shore of the Neva Bay" nature reserve. The trail is approximately two kilometers long, as reported by the tourism portal VisitPetersburg.

About half of the trail is built on wooden walkways, which helps preserve the habitats of animals and plants.

"The main attraction is a sessile oak, estimated to be between 340 and 460 years old," notes the portal.

Two observation platforms have been set up along the ecotrail, where visitors can watch birds.

"And if you’re lucky, you might hear the reserve's symbol—the great bittern. Due to its loud call, the bird has been nicknamed 'the bull.' In total, the reserve is home to 183 species of birds," the announcement states.
