In the first "adult" season, Russian Kamila Valieva won a brilliant victory, setting three world records in the competition: in terms of points scored in short and free programs, as well as in the sum of two programs. The second and third places in the Grand Prix were taken by the Russians Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Maya Khromykh, beating the strongest competitors from Belgium and America.

As a result, all three Russians made their way to the series finals, which will be held in Osaka from December 9 to 12. Also, the winners of the sixth stage of the Grand Prix in figure skating in Sochi were the Russian couple Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov. Skaters of the Russian national team Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov won ice dancing. Russian Mikhail Kolyada became the second, the first place in men's skating this time was taken by the Georgian figure skater Moris Kvitelashvili.
