The press service of the Tambov region government has announced the opening of a new tourist route called "Sergiev-Tsensky Trail" in the Rasskazovsky municipal district. This trail runs through the area where the famous writer and playwright Sergey Nikolaevich Sergiev-Tsensky was born in 1875.

The eco-trail begins in the village of Koptsevo and ends in the village of Preobrazhenie. It can be traversed on foot or by bicycle. The first visitors have already tried out the route.

"During the journey along the 'Sergiev-Tsensky Trail', one can relax on the beach of a local water body, collect a bouquet of wildflowers, quench their thirst with well water, and learn about the history of the ruined Church of the Transfiguration," the announcement states.

Currently, there are 27 walking routes and eco-trails for active recreation in the Tambov region. Additionally, concepts for five new routes have already been developed.
