Mountain resort “Rosa Khutor” in Sochi showed an increase in guests during the winter season

At the same time, the season was a month shorter than planned due to the temporary suspension of the resort from March 28 to June 1 pursuant to the instructions of the Government of Russia and the resolution of the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Despite the premature end of the skiing season, from December 13, 2019 to March 27, 2020, about 800 778 thousand guests visited the complex, which showed the dynamics of resort attendance even slightly higher than last year. The result of the full season 2018/2019 is 860 thousand visitors.

For the first time this winter season, thanks to a single ski pass, guests of Rosa Khutor could take advantage of about 177 kilometers of pistes. Since the start of sales on early booking, 2903 single ski passes have been purchased, of which 55 are seasonal. This is two times higher than last year, when 1563 ski passes were sold. The multi-day ski passes turned out to be the most popular, their share of the total amount was 74 percent, in the past - 59 percent. During the winter season, the 10 millionth guest of the resort has also been welcomed to Rosa Khutor since its opening.

Director General of Rosa Khutor Resort Alexander Belokobylsky noted that following the results of the past season such positive trends were obvious as an increase in the share of early ski passes sales, the demand for early reservations, a request for a longer stay and more active use of resort services and services.


There are currently no guests at the resort, all necessary disinfecting measures have been taken on its territory, all hotels and other leisure facilities are temporarily mothballed.
