Planting boxwood grown in a special nursery in the Sochi National Park has become traditional. They have been taking place for the second year already. Boxwood is planted on an area of 0.2 hectares in places of its natural growth.

“Based on the monitoring of last year's boxwood plantings, it was possible to establish that the survival rate of planting material is more than 95%,” according to the Sochi National Park.

In addition to boxwood, a chestnut appeared under the threat of extinction in Sochi due to the appearance of a pest - chestnut nut-making.
