The flowers bloomed on Delaway magnolias in Southern Cultures Park. The plant usually blooms in June-July, but never in autumn. The Delaway magnolia seedling was planted in Southern Cultures Park two years ago and bloomed for the first time this summer. After a few months, re-flowering began.

«This phenomenon is associated with climate change. Last summer and autumn were extremely warm and dry. During the winter, the trees were saturated with moisture and this year they were ready, they became more resistant to abnormal weather. This autumn and the relatively warm weather allowed the so-called "upstarts" to appear: repeated flowering is characteristic of other varieties of magnolias as well,» said Alexei Plotnikov, the leading dendrologist of the Yuzhnye Kultury park.

You will be able to see the graceful magnolia flowers in the park for several more weeks. In addition to magnolia, camellia is now covered with large white pink and cream flowers at this time of the year. Also, according to tradition, in the fall, the azalea buds opened for the second time.
