Kamchatka has become the second region after the Krasnodar Territory that closes borders for unvaccinated Russians. This was announced on Monday by the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov during an operational meeting with the regional government.

Tourists from other regions will not be able to get to Kamchatka without a coronavirus vaccine or negative PCR test results from August 1, shift workers arriving on salmon fishing grounds - from July 1.

The Kaliningrad region is also preparing to introduce similar measures. Its governor Anton Alikhanov wrote on Instagram today "we are preparing the rules for this group together with Rospotrebnadzor, we will announce it this week", in response to the subscribers' proposal to «send all the tourists home».

The head of the region also noted that the prepared decision will be «balanced and not burdensome».
