The official website of the Mayor of Moscow has announced that the "India Day" festival will take place in the capital from August 15 to 18. The event will introduce residents to the culture, customs, and traditions of India. It will be held at the landscape park "Island of Dreams".
More than 20 themed venues will be available during the festival. Guests can enjoy dance and culinary masterclasses, engaging lectures, a colorful Holi celebration, yoga sessions, meditation, henna painting, Indian film screenings, a chess tournament, and even a grand chariot procession. One of the central attractions will be the "Wedding in India", where couples will not only witness a traditional wedding but also have the chance to marry according to Indian customs.
During the festival, there will be a fair and food court featuring over 120 shops and restaurants serving authentic cuisine, introducing visitors to Indian products and dishes. The choreographic program will be managed by 200 professional dancers from India and Russia. Additionally, more than 70 yoga schools from across Russia will lead yoga sessions.
The festival coincides with India's Independence Day and the 78th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Russia. All events are free and aimed at visitors of all ages.
