The fall in demand is due to the anticovid restrictions imposed by the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory. From August 1, check-in at hotels, boarding houses and other accommodation facilities in the Krasnodar Territory is possible only upon presentation of a document confirming vaccination against COVID-19, a certificate of a previous illness within six months or a negative PCR test with an obligation to be vaccinated within three days. Even discounts in hotels do not help to attract tourists to the resort after the introduction of the restrictions.

"New bookings of tours to the Krasnodar Territory for August-September are more than 40% less than in the same period in 2019, even discounts from hotels do not help restore demand. The volume of bookings by the end of August will fall by 50%," the press service of the company «Intourist» noted.

Now you can find free rooms in all categories of the hotels in Sochi. Before the imposition of strict restrictions by the Kuban authorities, the demanded four-five-star hotels were completely sold out. Earlier, the head of the city of Sochi, Aleksey Kopaigorodsky, said that in August the city is preparing to receive up to 900 thousand tourists.
