For the past two days, there has been a danger of tornado formation over the sea in the area between Magri and Veseloye.

- According to meteorologists' forecasts, by the end of the day on July 23 and throughout July 24, 2024, a combination of adverse hydrometeorological phenomena is expected in the city of Sochi and the Sirius Federal Territory: heavy rain, thunderstorms with hail, and wind gusts of 15-18 m/s during storms. In some areas, there will be intense downpours. Rivers and small watercourses are expected to see rapid increases in water levels, with some reaching hazardous marks. In the mountainous zone, there may be small mudflows, reported the Sochi city administration.

The decision to ban swimming is based on the current conditions in specific areas. Currently, swimming has been partially restricted on beach areas in the Central District, Khostinsky, Lazarevsky, and Adler districts. Rescuers are assessing the situation, and if conditions change, they will warn vacationers about the swimming ban via loudspeakers, post information on bulletin boards, and prevent guests from entering the water.

Residents and visitors to the resort are advised to refrain from spending time near the water, avoid parking cars under trees, billboards, or other structures, steer clear of mountainous areas, and take all necessary precautions. In case of an emergency, they should call 112.
