Almost a quarter of a million tourists are coming to Sochi during the New Year holidays

All resorts of the mountain cluster have started preventive maintenance and routine maintenance on the ropeways. During the skiing season, additional sanitary and epidemiological safety measures will be applied.

«During the New Year holidays, we expect that our city will be visited by at least 250 thousand tourists. We understand the full measure of responsibility. For the second year in a row, the spa industry has been operating in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. As in the previous season, additional antiviral safety measures will be in effect at the mountain resorts of Sochi,» emphasized the deputy head of the city of Sochi, Inna Petukhova.

Security measures provide for the processing of cable car cabins with special means every three hours of work without stopping the movement. To ensure social distance in the queue for the lifts, restrictive barriers will be installed in the landing zones. Volunteers will help to delimit flows. If necessary, there will be restrictions on the sale of walking ski passes in the morning and evening hours during the mass ascent and descent of skiers. Resorts will continue to comply with all applicable hotel check-in policies. Earlier it was reported that the resort "Rosa Khutor" plans to open the ski season on December 17.
