The press service of the Russian Geographical Society has announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the family quiz competition for the anniversary Geographical Dictation. Contestants need to shoot a video with a question, as well as prepare a presentation with a description of a family trip around Russia. Applications can be submitted until June 28.
The video should include a short greeting, a closed-ended question, and an engaging and reliable story about a family trip to the Russian regions. The duration of the video should not exceed three minutes. An important condition is that family members of the participant must take part in the recording of the video.
The RGO said that questions from the videos can be included in the tasks of the anniversary Geographical Dictation and used in quizzes in order to popularize it.
The selection of finalists will be held from July 1 to 15. The winners will be determined by the expert commission of the competition from July 15 to August 2.
"The family that wins the "Write a Question with the Whole Family" competition will receive the main prize - a tourist trip with an open date on one of the routes recommended by the Russian Geographical Society, and will also go to Moscow to write the X, anniversary Geographical Dictation on the central platform," the message says.
The winners will receive memorable gifts for active travel. In addition, each finalist will receive a promo code with a 15% discount in the RGO online store.
