Flights to 11 cities are temporarily limited - Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista.
"The aviation authorities of the Russian Federation have extended the closure of airspace in the south of the country until March 20, 03:45," the Transport Ministry said.
The airspace in the south of the country has been closed since February 24. To organize the transportation of passengers to cities where airports are closed, Russian airlines are recommended to organize transportation on alternative routes using the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow. The rest of Russian airports, including international ones, operate as usual.
