They will be able to host up to 10 thousand yachts and will form the basic framework for the development of yacht tourism in the country. Today, the marinas existing on the Russian Black Sea coast can accommodate up to 500 ships.

«The concept for the development of infrastructure for yacht tourism on the Azov-Black Sea coast of the country was approved at the level of the Government of the country and the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory, a mechanism for its implementation at the level of investment projects was determined. The implementation of the concept is designed for 2030,» said Olga Shebzukhova, one of the concept developers, Head of Alliance Marine Development.

According to the developers' estimates, the implementation of the concept will require about a trillion rubles. Artificial land plots will be created to create marinas. The marinas will be not just yacht marinas, but city-forming enterprises, including all the necessary infrastructure for servicing ships, as well as hotel and entertainment facilities. The creation of marinas will also solve the problem of bank protection and will provide the coast with up to 15 kilometers of new embankments.

«Eight marinas will be located on the territory of Sochi in all areas of the resort. The pilot project will be the Prokhladny Canyon Marina in the Lazarevsky District, designed for 250 yachts. The rationale has already been developed, the first investments have been attracted, the economy and technologies are clear,» noted Olga Shebzukhova.

Now the main work is going on in the field of amendments to the legislation, which will solve the issues of creating artificial land plots, and reduce the risks for both investors and the region. In this regard, it is planned to start the implementation of the Prokhladny Canyon Marina project in Golovinka within the next two years.
