12-degree frosts hit Sochi

This temperature was recorded at night from 23 to 24 December in the northern part of the Lazarevsky region. The air temperature along the coast was 3-4 degrees below zero. In Krasnaya Polyana, the thermometers dropped to -9. The city had little rainfall, the press service of the city administration said.

"The work of social facilities continues as usual, no damage has been recorded on power lines. In all areas of the resort, roads have been processed, which made it possible to maintain transport accessibility in conditions of low night temperatures. Traffic on regular routes is sometimes difficult, traffic on several routes is not until final stops ", - reported in the press service of the Sochi administration.

The traffic police strongly recommends residents and guests of the resort city to refrain from driving cars without winter tires.

Clarification is expected today, December 24, slight precipitation in the form of snow turning into rain, wind in gusts up to 14 m / s. A storm warning in Sochi was announced before the end of the day.
