Yulia Vetoshkina appointed Minister of Tourism of the Kama Region

Yulia Vetoshkina will head the newly formed Ministry of Tourism and Youth Policy of the Perm Territory effective on January 12. This decision was made by the Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin, as per fedpress.ru. 

The newly formed Ministry of Tourism will focus on attracting grants and funding for the development of tourism in the region.

The work of the ministry will be aimed at the integrated development of tourist areas, the creation and promotion of tourist products, and the improvement of the qualifications of industry employees and local administrations.

“It is important to synchronize regional programs with the emerging national project “Tourism and Tourism Industry”. We are working with municipalities on the development of infrastructure and projects with which the Prikamye Region will be able to enter the federal level,” Yulia Vetoshkina was quoted as saying.

It is reported that the Ministry of Tourism of Prikamye hopes to attract the capital's tourism business players, who are showing considerable interest in the development of domestic tourism in the regions.

Previously, Yulia Vetoshkina worked in the administration of the Yaroslavl Region, where she also held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development, Investments and International Cooperation. Since 2010, she has served as deputy head of the protocol and external relations department of the regional government. From 2012 to 2016, she headed the tourism agency of the Yaroslavl region. In 2017, she headed the tourism department in the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region. Since the fall of 2019, she has been the head of the agency for tourism and youth policy of the Perm Territory, which was recently transformed into the ministry.
