In the resort city of Kislovodsk, a large Water Festival is set to take place on August 3rd, celebrating the opening of the renovated waterfront of the Old Lake. The city’s mayor, Evgeny Moiseev, announced that this festival will feature contests, swimming, water competitions, and various shows.

"We have prepared a unique water fairy tale for the festival guests, with the participation of professional actors and giant floating figures. The entire waterfront area will be filled with a variety of entertainment: sports zones, entertainment programs for both children and adults, food courts, a musical chill-out zone, and various competitions," Moiseev wrote on his Telegram channel.

In the evening, guests can look forward to a cover program featuring sea hits.

According to the mayor, this will be the first water festival in the resort, which will become an annual event and take a significant place in Kislovodsk's event calendar.

He noted that the comprehensive improvement of the Old Lake is being carried out for the first time in 40 years. Four grottoes will be built right above the water, situated on a circular wooden promenade terrace, to the left of the Water Stage located on stilts.

These will be the Grotto of the Sun, Grotto of Narzan, Grotto of Air, and Grotto of the Heart.

"Such spaces will allow visitors to spend time by the water, sitting on a comfortable semicircular bench with a stylized canopy featuring a heart design—the symbol of our city," Moiseev explained.

There will also be a sound system, charging stations, a free Wi-Fi network, and decorative lighting provided in the area.
