Volunteers cleaned the banks of the Terek River in Vladikavkaz from garbage

More than 300 volunteers cleared the banks of the Terek River in North Ossetia-Alania from garbage. They managed to collect more than 200 bags of garbage, the removal of which was organized by the regional operator for the management of MSW, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation reports.

After cleaning the banks, the most active volunteers and journalists covering the topic of environmental protection were awarded, and an exhibition of goods made from recycled materials and environmentally friendly materials was launched.

The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is an active participant in the All-Russian action to clean the banks of water bodies from garbage "Water of Russia". In 2019 and 2020, it entered the top three most active regions.

The volunteer movement "Beregdobrykhdel.rf" of the action "Water of Russia" unites volunteers from all over the country and is held within the framework of the national project "Ecology". The annual coverage of the project is 11 thousand events on average. The organizer of the action is the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, the coordinator is the Center for the Development of the Water Management Complex.
