A new international route called "Russian Holidays. From the Capital of Russia to the Capital of Siberia" is ready to be launched. The route includes visits to iconic places in both Moscow and the Tyumen region. This was announced at the "Travel!" forum by Maria Trofimova, Director of the Department of Consumer Market and Tourism of the Tyumen Oblast. Presenting the project, she noted that it was a response to the growing demand from foreign tourists to visit Siberia.
The project was developed within the framework of a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism and culture between the governments of Moscow and the Tyumen Oblast. Last year, tour operators from India were able to test the route, getting acquainted with the traditions and nature of the Siberian region.
The "Imperial Route" program, which is already popular with tourists and was created by the Tyumen and Sverdlovsk Oblasts as part of a railway tour, is planned to increase the number of flights and improve the comfort of the carriages next year. The route, which has been operating since June of this year, has united Tyumen, Tobolsk,Alapaevsk and Yekaterinburg and includes excursions to iconic places associated with the fate of the Romanov dynasty.
Another promising area is related to the recently signed agreement between the Tyumen and Nizhny Novgorod Oblasts. The launch of direct air traffic prompted the regions to start work on creating joint tourist routes.
Among the interesting projects presented by the Tyumen Oblast is the "City of Discoveries" program, which is popular in the field of developing children's and educational tourism. The program is a partner of the SIBUR company. Educational and tourist routes for schoolchildren have been created in Tyumen and Tobolsk, including the "Ecology", "Energy" and "Entrepreneurship" tracks.
This news is a great opportunity for Tyumen to showcase its rich history, culture, and natural beauty to the world. The new international route and the development of new tourist products will help to attract more visitors to the region and boost the local economy.
