Starting from June 1 Turkey will mitigate a number of restrictive measures, including long-distance travel, that was previously forbidden due to Covid-19 pandemic, said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The residents of the country will be able to visit beaches, reserves and parks. Cafes, museums and kindergartens will open again. Civil servants, previously sent on vacation, will also resume their work.
According to the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Turkey is ready to organize charter flights from Russia and Germany. At the same time, the Turkish side is ready to take responsibility for the safety of tourists “from the moment of leaving home to returning home,” the minister said. He added that Turkey can also familiarize all those involved in the tourism sector with measures to protect the health of travelers in the context of a new type of coronavirus pandemic.
Air traffic in Turkey is expected to be restored in mid-July this year with 3.5-3 million Russian tourists coming, which is approximately 40% less than a year earlier.
