The tourism industry of Sochi replenished the budget of the Krasnodar Territory by 5.7 billion rubles in 2021

This figure exceeds the last year's result of 1.8 billion rubles. This was reported by the Sochi administration.

"In the structure of sectoral revenues of the regional budget, the share of the resort was 67.8%. In the reporting period, 1.2 billion rubles were transferred to the budget of Sochi, exceeding the planned figure by 23%," said Svetlana Batyaykina, director of the department of resorts and tourism of the Sochi administration.

In 2021, more than 2,800 accommodation facilities with a total capacity of about 86 thousand rooms, as well as 5 facilities for children's health recreation, worked to receive guests of the resort during the high season. Over the past year, 47 new accommodation facilities have opened on the territory of Sochi.

At the end of the year, the resort plans to receive about 6.9 million guests, which is 4.6% more than in 2019 and 23.5% more than in 2020. In 2021, more than 2,800 accommodation facilities with a total capacity of about 86 thousand rooms, as well as five facilities for children's health recreation, worked to receive guests of the resort during the high season. Over the past year, 47 new accommodation facilities have opened on the territory of Sochi.
