From January 1, 2022, its amount will be 50 rubles for Sochi and 30 for other cities in the region. Previously, the amount of the resort tax at the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory was 10 rubles. The need for an increase arose due to the need to increase funding for the design, construction, reconstruction, maintenance, improvement and repair of resort infrastructure facilities in the region.

«We need to develop territories. Indeed, significant sums are spent on preparations for the holiday season. The value will continue to be democratic and accessible to anyone. But, taking into account the annually growing tourist flow, this will result in amounts that are quite sufficient to significantly transform the appearance of our resorts, make them more attractive and increase competitiveness in the world and Russian markets of travel services,» said the chairman of the ZSK Yuri Burlachko.

According to the press service of the Sochi administration, the city has the highest recreational and anthropogenic load, so it needs to restore the resort infrastructure in volumes that exceed other territories.

«The difference in the amount of the resort tax is due to the fact that the resort of Sochi has the largest number of rooms and the length of the territory, about 40 percent of the tourist flow to the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory is in Sochi, the press service explained.

The experiment on collecting the resort tax in the Krasnodar Territory started in 2018. In 2021, the Krasnodar Territory received about 164 million rubles from the resort tax.
