A new air route will appear in the Caucasian Reserve, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation reports. Licensed airlines accompanied by the reserve staff will conduct excursions taking from 2 to 5 hours.

During the flight, they will tell visitors about the natural features, fauna and flora of the protected area.

According to the route plan, departing from Krasnaya Polyana and landing in the area of the Lagonaki checkpoint, the participants of the excursion will be able to take a walk, do cross-country skiing, visit the Tourist Museum, ride dog sleds along the «Husky in Lagonaki» winter route, or go to a longer ride on snowmobiles along the "Winter Abadzesh" route, and then within 20 minutes return to Krasnaya Polyana by helicopter. The flight path will be chosen in such a way as not to disturb the animals of the reserve.

“Today, tourists visiting Russian resorts are becoming more and more demanding. We have combined the cognitive and emotional components: during the flight, you can both admire the stunning views of the reserve and also learn a lot of interesting things about the territory, see with your own eyes the diversity of our landscapes. Surely this route will quickly find its admirers,” said the director of the Caucasian nature reserve Sergei Shevelev.

To get on the new route tourists will have to pre-book excursions at the tourism department of the Caucasian Reserve.
