As noted by the national tourist portal Russia.travel, "Oryol Polesye" is a traditional holiday destination not only for residents of the Oryol region, but also for Russians from other regions. In particular, they are attracted by the settlement of Radovishte, a network of lakes and about a dozen tourist routes.
In a clearing among centuries-old pines is the Holy Spring - the heart of the national park. Here you can drink spring water, visit the chapel and plunge into the font. The water in this spring never freezes, its constant temperature is kept at +4.5 degrees.
The flora and fauna of Oryol Polesye are very diverse. In particular, the Russian desman, listed in the Red Book in 1920, is of interest.
In the recreational area of the park there are conditions for sightseeing and short rest.
“Tourist routes pass here, with a total length of 97.3 kilometers. The zone of ecological education is intended for the formation of a responsible attitude towards nature, the formation of ecological thinking and education among young people, ”the portal writes.
"Oryol Polesie" is closely connected with the name of the writer Ivan Turgenev, the characters of his "Notes of a Hunter" lived here, notes Russia.travel.
