During the Day of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia within the festival «Primordial Russia» the Ministry presented the tourist opportunities of reserves and national parks of the country.

“Traveling in natural areas is a special kind of tourism. Specially protected natural territories of Russia not only are superior to international natural reserves, but also have great advantages over them: Russian reserves and national parks cover almost all unique landscapes and ecosystems untouched by human activity. Tourism in specially protected natural areas is possible, but we must remember that these territories were created, first of all, for the preservation of pristine nature, therefore the main objects of ecotourism in our country, as well as abroad, are national parks", - said the director of the Federal Reserve Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Evgeny Stupnikov, welcoming the participants and guests of the festival.

In addition, as part of the opening of the event, Deputy Director of the Federal Reserve Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Lyudmila Poplavskaya told the audience about the implementation of the federal project "Conservation of biological diversity and development of ecotourism." As part of the national project "Ecology", this federal project is aimed at creating a modern tourist infrastructure in the national parks of the country.

The event was divided into three parts. In the first block, representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources presented various possibilities for traveling in the protected areas - ecological paths and routes, natural attractions, conditions and accommodation facilities, excursion services of specially protected natural areas.

The block was named "My native land is wide: from glaciers to deserts ...".

The next thematic block of the program "Appreciating nature and touching history" - introduced the visitors of the festival to the historical and cultural heritage of specially protected natural areas and opportunities for ethnographic, local history and pilgrimage tourism.

The final block was "The World of Unforgettable Travel: Conquer Your Element", within which various types of active ecotourism in protected areas were presented.

During the day, ecological master classes were held in the children's zone of the festival, which were held for the youngest visitors of the festival by representatives of the national parks ‘‘Vodlozersky’' and ‘‘Curonian Spit’’.

Thematic days of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia within the festival "Primordial Russia" will continue on March 20 and 21.

Tickets for the festival "Primordial Russia" can be purchased at the box office at the entrance to the western wing of the Tretyakov Gallery branch (10 Krymsky Val) or on the website fotocult.ru.
