As part of the complex development program of the resort, beach areas in the Lazarevsky district will be restored. Design and survey work on bank protection and backfilling of beach areas has already begun.
“It is planned to complete them at the end of 2023, and at the beginning of the next year, after passing the state examination, they will proceed directly to the execution of work,” the Sochi administration said.
It is necessary to restore retaining, wave-breaking walls and backfill a 400-meter long beach strip in the Loo microdistrict. Plans have been developed with the placement of a bun, a wave wall, a beach backfill, as well as a project for the placement of recreational infrastructure. The construction area for this facility is about 12 thousand square meters. It will be done in two stages. It is planned to backfill with crushed stone in the amount of 42 thousand cubic meters. More than 29 kilometers of coastline have also been identified where beach areas are also in need of restoration.
