The opening of the summer tourist season at the Solovetsky Museum-Reserve is scheduled for May 26. This year, they are predicting an increase in tourist flow, including due to the increase in the number of cruise ships serviced by the museum. This was reported by the tourist portal of the Arkhangelsk region.

"For guests of the island who have planned a one-day visit to Solovki, the museum's excursion department has developed a one-day excursion package that will allow them to visit the most interesting places of the archipelago," the portal quotes Deputy Director of the Museum-Reserve Valeria Frolova.

Last year, almost 67 thousand tourists visited Solovki. The most visited objects were the Solovetsky Kremlin, the exposition "Solovetsky Camps and a Special Prison", Zayatsky Island and the Botanical Garden, the portal reported.

In the new season, the Solovetsky Museum-Reserve plans to continue working on well-established routes and offer tourists new services.

Now the staff is actively working on new routes and exhibitions. And the museum ship "Alexander Shabalin" is preparing for its first flights.
