The traditional Georgian harvest festival, Tbilisoba, was celebrated in the resort city of Kislovodsk. According to the city's mayor, Yevgeny Moiseyev, who shared the news on his Telegram channel, a truly cozy Georgian courtyard was created with songs, dances, and a complete immersion in the national atmosphere.
"Georgian traditional dishes, acquaintance with national traditions, crafts, and even a master class on making churchkhela! It turned out to be very warm and colorful!" noted Moiseyev.
He added that guests of the festival included representatives of all national-cultural autonomies of Kislovodsk, clergy, and the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs.
The mayor of Kislovodsk promised to introduce a new tradition in the city - to jointly hold national holidays of different peoples with the communities.
Tbilisoba is a nationwide holiday in Georgia dedicated to the harvest and the country's capital, Tbilisi. It is held annually on the first weekend of October. In Tbilisi, various fairs, processions, concerts, and sporting events are organized. The holiday has been celebrated since 1979.
