The winter tourist season in the Finnish province of Lapland has become one of the most successful thanks to the influx of foreign travelers, the Yle newspaper reported.
Some tour operators have increased the number of tours sold by 30%. Foreign tourists are attracted to Lapland by ski resorts, dog sledding, reindeer rides and snowshoeing.
The popularity of the region is provided by a developed infrastructure and more accessible nature.
In total, 4.1 million foreign tourists visited the country of Thousands of Lakes last year, who spent 3 billion euros.
