Russian Railways launched a new service for buying tickets for all types of transport

They can be purchased at suburban railway ticket offices, and at the same time you can arrange related travel services - insurance, luggage transportation, etc.

"Automated workplace of the cashier" - this is the name of the universal IT solution for ticket cashiers, which allows you to issue travel documents for all types of transport in a single interface. The development is registered in the register of domestic software, the Russian Railways company reports on its website.

The innovation allows planning, booking and paying for door-to-door passenger transportation by various modes of transport in a “single window”.

"The new software is integrated with banking and cash equipment and allows the cashier to become a travel planning operator, issuing tickets for any type of transport, including rail, river, bus and aviation, in one window," RZD said. Thanks to the service, you can also arrange related travel services, such as insurance, luggage transportation, etc.

The cashier's workstation interface is intuitive and does not require long-term staff training. It can be used not only in suburban railway ticket offices, but also in long-distance ticket offices, river transport, air and bus ticket offices.

Today, 83 cashier workstations have been installed in suburban ticket offices at the training grounds of six suburban passenger companies.

You can already use the new service at 49 ticket offices - JSC Moscow-Tver Suburban Passenger Company, JSC North-West Suburban Passenger Company, JSC Perm Suburban Company, JSC Sverdlovsk Suburban Company, JSC Sodruzhestvo, JSC Bashkortostan Suburban Passenger Company. “The remaining cashier workstations will be launched before the end of this year.

Until the end of 2023, tickets for all types of transport can be bought at the box office of all suburban carriers, with the exception of Central Suburban Passenger Company JSC.
