On June 1, 2024, amendments to the federal law on tourism will come into force in terms of certification and control of instructor guides, guide interpreters and instructor guides.

The subject of control will be compliance by organizations, individual entrepreneurs and self-employed citizens providing the services of a tour guide (guide), a guide-translator or an instructor-guide, with mandatory requirements regarding the availability of appropriate certification.

It will be possible to confirm the availability of the relevant certification not only with a certificate or a breast identification card, but also with a registry entry with the data of the controlled person in the unified federal registers, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reported.
