The Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) will temporarily close the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference facilities, in Zimbabwe’ s capital, Harare, for more than a month starting this week as it is undergoing a $3-million face-lift.
The hotel has 183 guest rooms & suites.
The group was quoted by Financial Gazette as saying that the magnitude of the refurbishment project will require the temporary closure.
It, however, said its restaurants and Heritage Adventure Park will remain open.
The Park includes a double adult zipline, children’s zipline, a high beam and amp; crock walk, paint ball shooting, and a 10-metre drop abseiling and climbing wall.
It’s said to be the first zipline attached to a hotel building in Zimbabwe.
RTG grew its revenue by 131% to $25,6 million in the first five months of 2019 from US$11,1 million over the same period last year due to an increase in foreign currency business.
