A new edition of the first guidebook to Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana has been published thanks to the efforts of the Rosa Khutor resort and the great-granddaughter of its author.

The book, "Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana with Environs," was originally written by Sergey Dorovatovsky in 1911.It was the first guidebook to the Sochi resort and is now a rare bibliographical find. Dorovatovsky was an honorary citizen, agronomist, publisher, and researcher who played an active role in the development of the Sochi Black Sea Coast at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The new edition of the guidebook has been supplemented and expanded with the author's notes, which were previously unpublished. It also includes photographs by Sochi amateur photographer Ivan Sutkov. The book was presented at the Sochi Central Library on June 25.

The presentation was attended by tour guides, guides, local historians, and everyone interested in the history of the resort city.
