Rosa Khutor mountain resort will support the Green Tourist Shelter architectural competition

This year, the 2nd Annual Architectural Competition “Green Tourist Shelter in a Natural Area” starts on April 24. This will be announced at the IV International Conference-Forum "Architectural Seasons of SPbGASU".

The competition is held to familiarize students, teachers, practicing architects, as well as participants in the tourism industry with a modern approach to creating infrastructure for nature tourism in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. Participants learn the methods and techniques of architectural design to create eco-friendly and energy-efficient tourist facilities in natural areas.

The organizer of the competition is the Research Institute for Sustainable Development in Construction (NIIURS) with the support of the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering and the year-round mountain resort Rosa Khutor.

Participants of the competition will be asked to develop conceptual solutions for the creation, arrangement and operation of environmentally and cost-effective, comfortable and safe facilities for shelter from bad weather and accommodation necessary for travelers in the natural environment.
